Clinical Message Service
In 2005 Redwood MedNet
received a grant
from Blue
Shield of California Foundation to pilot test a community-based
clinical
message service. Built by Mendocino
Informatics with open source software, the Redwood MedNet HIE
project delivers laboratory test results to local clinical practices
either via a secure online portal or via an electronic data stream
pushed directly into a site level clinical software application.
Redwood Health Information Collaborative
The Collaborative has met monthly
since January 2006 to help plan a local health information exchange
for the Lake and Mendocino County region of Northern California.
Funded by an initial
grant
from the Robert Wood
Johnson Foundation to the Mendocino
County Department of Public Health, the collaborative maintains a
public archive of plans, reports,
presentations and other useful documents.
